The Original StarTrek-Timeline

For this timeline only facts (the dates were restored step by step: see source 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) were used, which were presented during Roddenberrys lifetime and before the strange chronology of Denise and Michael Okuda had been written, which is the base for the new StarTrek timeline:

Million years ago Millions or more years before the beginning of human history the moon serves as a basis of genetic research on early life-forms of Earth for an unknown space-travelling race.
-c600.000 The Arretians colonize the known galaxy. "Six thousand centuries ago, our vessels were colonizing this galaxy, just as your own starships have now begun to explore that vastness." - Sargon to Cpt. Kirk (see TOS: Assignment Earth).
-c4000 Extraterrestrials abduct a male and a female from Earth. They and their descendants will be given generations of training to help prevent Earth's civilization from destroying itself. (see TOS: Assignment Earth)
far before 3500 BC The knowledge about stars and astronomy of human kind in the old days is highly developed and will be redeveloped with great effort in later centurys. These ancient civilizations should be better named "Mutant-Farm-Civilizations". The knowledge they have alas, was not a result of human labour and growth, thus not their own, but rooted in a gift.
-c2700 Earth is visited by aliens who settle in the region near Greece and the Mediterranean sea. They will set the pattern of the Greek Gods. (see TOS: Who Mourns for Adonais?)
-c3000 Commander Spock and Dr. McCoy are trapped in the Ice Age on the planet Sarpeidon, having been transported 5,000 years back through time by the Atavachron. Vulcans are... before Surak... (see TOS: All Our Yesterdays)
-2240???

The Megans arrive on planet Earth. They will live in relative isolation unbeknownst to humans until at least the 17th century A.D. Unwittingly, they may be responsible for many of Earths devil-legends (see TAS: The Magicks of Megas-Tu)

-c400 Survivors from Sahndara briefly settle on Greece on Earth, where they become admirers of the philosopher Plato. (see TOS: Plato's Stepchildren)
-c200 The Sahndaran refugees leave Earth and settle on a planet they name Platonius, where they begin to develop telekinetic abilities. (see TOS: Plato's Stepchildren)
c0 On Earth (and presumably on UFC 892-IV, Magna Roma) the religious figure Jesus Christ is born who will form the basis of Christianity. Christmas will be celebrated aboard the Enterprise numerous times. (see TOS: Bread and Circuses)
1692 The people of Megas-Tu are forced to leave Earth in Salem, Massachusetts, New England. Presumably they return to the galactic core and their own continuum. From now alien races From now visits on earth is very dangerous for all aliens. (see TAS: The Magicks of Megas-Tu)
c1710 A group of anthropologists called the Preservers visit Earth. They transplant a group of American Indians, including people from the Delaware, Navajo, and Mohican tribes, to a class M planet where they are able to live undisturbed. (see TOS: The Paradise Syndrome)
before 1881 Surak lived on Vulcan. A group of traditionel Vulcans leave and will become the Romulans.
1958 The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) federal agency is established in North America on Earth. Over the next century it will be responsible for many Earthn spaceflights, including the "Voyager" series unmanned probes. (see TMP Star Trek I.)
c1969 The USS Enterprise visited this period by a time warp accident. The Vegan Tyranny dominates space outside of the Local Group is why the USS Enterprise stayed near Earth. They met John Christopher, who will later have a son, Shaun Geoffrey. This Christopher will lead the first successful Earth-Saturn probe in the 21st Century. (see TOS: Tomorrow is Yesterday)
1977 Space shuttle Enterprise OV-101 undergoes flight tests (see STM - Star Trek I.)
1983 Pioneer 10, started 2.3.1972, passes Pluto and becomes the first human-made object to leave the Sol system. The probe carries an engraved plaque with a message of greetings from the people of Earth. 300 years later it will be destroyed by Klingons (see Star Trek V.)
1992-1996 Eugenics War. Previously unknown race of "supermen" are introduced as adults by scientists as the future of the human race. Aspirations of power have these "supermen" take over several key governments, leading to a major war between them and their scientist creators against the rest of the world.
c1994 On Earth, cryogenics, which is the process of freezing people with incurable diseases to revive them in the future, is very popular. Among a group of people set to hibernation in the cryo-satellite Birdseye, an orbital space module, in this year are Claire Raymond, Ralph Offenhouse and "Sonny" Clemonds. They will be revived "370 years later" after their orbital module was lost and later found by the Federation starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) in 2364 near the Kazis binary system not far from the Romulan Neutral Zone. (see TNG: The Neutral Zone)
1996 Khan Noonian Singh, absolute ruler of more than a quarter of Earth, from South Asia to the Middle East, escapes aboard the S.S. Botany Bay, (DY-102? 103?) sleeper vessel with a crew of 97 "supermen." Their destination is Tau Ceti. (see TOS: Space Seed) Some of the scientists involved leave Earth as well, among them Dr. Stavros Keniculus. (see TAS: The Infinite Vulcan)
1999 NASA launched Voyager VI to further scrutinize the planets of the Sol system. However, the probe gets lost in the course of its mission. (see STM: Star Trek I.)
Colonel Shaun Geoffrey Christopher leads a Terran expedition to Saturn.
2002 "Nomad", an early robotic interstellar probe, is launched from Earth on a mission to search for new life forms. Roughly cylindrical in shape, weighing 500 kilograms, and measuring about one meter in lenght, "Nomad" is created by brillant Earth scientist Jackson Roykirk. It will later be reported damaged by a meteor and lost in space, in the vicinity of Zeta Reticuli. (see TOS "The Changeling").
c2010 Colonel Green led a genocidal war early in the 21st century on Earth. Kirk to the tyrant Green used by the Excalbians in "The Savage Curtain": "You were notorious, Colonel Green, for striking at your enemies in the midst of negotiating with them."
2018 The use of DY-100 Class sleeper ships is discontinued. (see TOS: Spaceseed)

Kirk: "we're picking up a recorded distress signal, the call letters of a vessel which has been missing for over two centuries" (TOS: Where no Man Has Gone Before, 1. season, 2264)
c2065 World War Three. Nuclear devastation is widespread and known as the "Post Atomic Horror". A nuclear winter also results. In some areas, populations must resort to controlling their military with drugs, known as the "Fourth World Mercenaries". Spock in TOS: Bread and Circuses said: "...six million who died in your first world war, the 11 million who died in your second, the 37 million who died in your third"
2079 The New United Nations are dissolved after years of powerlessness.
The Post-Atomic Horror: The Q-entity encountered by the starship Enterprise-D at Farpoint Station showed the crew a court of this year. Discipline was harsh, policies were brutally strict, and all lawyers had been abolished (by execution) (see TNG: Encounter at Farpoint).
c2080 The tenth and last Space Ark, Terra 10, is launched complete with early transporter technology. Of all ten generation ships, only the passengers of this last ship will survive.

Constructed on asteroids, they monitor the Neutral Zone established by treaty after the Earth-Romulan conflict a century ago. As you may recall, this conflict was fought, by standards today, with primitive atomic weapons and in primitive space vessels which allowed no quarter, no captives, nor was there even ship-to-ship visual communication. [...] The treaty, set by sub-space radio, established this Neutral Zone, entry into which by either side would constitute an act of war. The treaty has been unbroken since that time." (2264)
