Caesar, Julius

Rolle:
Imperator von Rom.

Auftritte:
Caesar appears in the very first episode. He comes from Rome in person to see the indomitable Gauls. As a great lord and master, he gives the Gauls their freedom for having helped him foil the plans of Crismus Bonus in Asterix the Gaul. Even stranger, he appreciates the odd gifts in Asterix the Gladiator, and once again, he shows how grateful he is to the Gauls, even though he must grant freedom to the gladiators. In Asterix and Cleopatra, he is seen more as a lover than an Emperor. And then he appears angry and incognito as a spectator at Asterix's triumph in Asterix and The Chieftain's Shield, and as an Emperor being challenged in Asterix and the Roman Agent. In Asterix in Belgium, the Emperor himself comes to referee the strange fight between the Gauls and the Belgians, but in Asterix and Son we see him as a good man and loving father.

Charakterzüge:
He has a slight tendency to send his men to far-off places. Honest and just, he is a respectful and intelligent.

"Veni, vidi, vici" "Alea jacta est"
